Getting Started
How to participate in Proof of Chance lotteries and verify their fairness.
Prerequisites
Before participating in Proof of Chance, you'll need:
- A Solana wallet (we recommend Phantom or Solflare)
- Some SOL for transaction fees and ticket purchases
- Basic familiarity with connecting wallets to web applications
Proof of Chance currently runs on Solana. Ensure your wallet is set to the correct network (Mainnet for real lotteries, Devnet for testing).
Quick Start
Connect Your Wallet
Visit the Daily Lottery app and click "Connect Wallet" in the header. Select your preferred wallet provider and authorize the connection.
Browse Active Lotteries
View available lotteries on the main dashboard. Each lottery displays the prize pool, ticket price, time remaining, and number of participants.
Purchase Tickets
Select a lottery and click "Purchase Tickets". Enter the number of tickets and add a lucky secret (kept private until upload). Approve the transaction in your wallet.
Wait for the Draw
Once the buy window ends, the upload window begins. Participants reveal lucky secrets and attest on-chain, then winners are selected deterministically from on-chain state.
Verify the Results
Use our AI Audit Flow to verify that the lottery was conducted fairly. Every step is auditable on-chain.
Understanding Tickets
When you purchase tickets, you receive:
- Participant Record: An on-chain account tracking your ticket count and commitment
- Lucky Secret Commitment: A hash of your lucky secret + random salt
- Weight: Your proportional chance of winning (based on ticket count)
Your participation is stored on-chain and linked to your wallet address, ensuring provable ownership.
After the Lottery
Once a lottery settles:
- Check if you won: The app will notify you if your ticket was selected
- Claim rewards: Winners can claim their share of the prize pool
- Audit the results: Use the Audit Modal to verify the selection was fair
Safety Tips
Always verify you're on the official Proof of Chance domain before connecting your wallet or making transactions.
- Never share your wallet seed phrase with anyone
- Start with small amounts while learning the platform
- Understand that lottery outcomes are based on chance—there's no guaranteed win
- Use the audit tools to verify any lottery before participating
